Meetings
We generally have two large meetings per year, in winter and spring. Previous agendas are available. The meetings are open to people who work on beaches, including beach managers, equipment operators, lifeguards, park rangers, environmental scientists, surfers, government agencies, aquarium personnel, and other interested people. We discuss current issues of common concern, including best management practices (BMPs), current research on beaches, planning for the future, and balancing human recreation with wildlife conservation. Speakers have included biologists, beach managers, oceanographers, climatologists, lifeguards, reporters, environmentalists, and others.
